This spring, the annual “Sprachnecafe” took place at the Gymnasium Schillerstraße with an active participation of students from different schools. There were several tables with native speakers from various foreign countries and we had the opportunity to have a conversation either in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Russian. The native speakers did a good job in passing on an lively picture of the American everyday life and with it the various differences between our and their culture. Such events should be organized more often because the chance to talk to native speakers and to get to know their culture closer is not very common.

Comme chaque année, le “Café des langues” a eu lieu dans notre lycée. C’était formidable! On a pu parler à des jeunes de langue maternelle française, italienne, espagnole, anglaise et russe. Je pense que pour tous les élèves c’était une expérience extraordinaire de parler aux jeunes Français. J’aimerais bien remercier tous les profs qui ont organisé cet après-midi inoubliable.

El „Sprachencafé“ ofrece la posibilidad para hablar lenguas extranjeras. Raúl que es de Barcelona nos explicó la cultura española y también hablamos sobre la gente, la geografía y la comida de España. Creemos que el “Sprachencafé” es una buena idea porque se aprende mucho y también es muy divertido.

Несколько недель назад я был в разговорном кафе в гимназии Шиллерштрассе. Мы сидели за столом и говорили по-русски. Кроме того, мы информировали заинтересованных о том, как мы занимаемся русским языком. Мне там очень понравилось, потому что я люблю говорить по-русски.

Al Caffè delle Lingue sono stato alla tavola italiana ed ero in grado di dimostrare la mia conoscenza della lingua. In un primo momento ero sempre alla ricerca delle parole giuste, ma con l’aiuto della bella donna italiana, è stato un gioco facile per me.

Like every year, this year the “Sprachencafé” was held in our school. The Sprachencafe has laready become something like a tradition. And we, the students, cannot imagine a schoolyear without it.  It is a big event!
Many students from the Gymnasium Rebberggasse and, of course, from our school come together one afternoon and enjoy small talk, snacks and non alcoholic drinks. Moreover, we are very honoured by the presence Sprachencafe of so many native speakers from different countries like the USA, France, Italy, Russia and Spain.
The system of Sprachencafé is very simple, there are different tables with the flags of the various countries. The students can choose a table and talk in a foreign language. There are no rules, we can talk about anything we like.
I enjoyed the conversation with an English native speaker and it was pretty interesting to talk about the socio-cultural differences between the US and Austria. Although I found out that my native speaker hunted some squirrels, the afternoon was actually great. It was worth it and I would warmly recommend it to other students.

Le “Sprachencafé”  est une bonne possibilité pour mieux connaître la vie dans d’autres pays. Mélanie qui vient de Nice en France et qui habite depuis un an à Feldkirch, nous a raconté des différences entre les deux pays. C’était trés informatif.

Me alegré mucho de que el Café de Lenguas fuera organizado otra vez, especialmente porque tuvo lugar en nuestra escuela. Como cada año, vinieron numerosos nativos de todos los idiomas que se pueden aprender en nuestra escuela.
Era una buena posibilidad para charlar un poco en la lengua favorita. Siempre es interesante hablar con nativos y estaríamos muy contentos si hubiera otro Café de Lenguas en el próximo año.

Wir haben das Wahlpflichtfach Russisch gewählt, weil uns Russisch und Russland schon immer interessiert haben und weil es einfach einmal etwas Anderes ist, nicht immer das Gleiche wie Deutsch, Englisch oder auch Französisch zu lernen. Uns interessiert auch die Geschichte Russlands, bzw. wie das Leben unter dem kommunistischem Regime war. Über dieses haben wir auch einige Dinge gelernt. Wir waren letztes Jahr (und auch dieses Jahr) im Sprachencafé, welches vom Gymnasium Rebberggasse veranstaltet wurde. Wir sind dann natürlich zum Russisch-Tisch gesessen und (wie beim 1. Mal Sprachencafe) hat Frau Professor Bachmann unser Interesse geweckt, indem sie von Russland geschwärmt hat und auch von der Barmherzigkeit der Menschen dort. Sie hat uns von sprachlichen, wirtschaftlichen, bis hin zu geschichtlichen Dingen über Russland erzählt. Sie hat uns soviel von den ganzen Sehenswürdigkeiten berichtet, dass wir uns schon überlegt haben, nach der Matura einmal nach Russland zu gehen, denn wir sind vom Land fasziniert.

Hace unos días visité el Café de Lenguas con mis compañeros de escuela. Me ha gustado mucho, porque he aprendido nuevas palabras. También he conocido a muchas personas.

C’était très intéressant de parler en français. Le garçon qui vient de Dijon et qui a le même âge que nous était très drôle. Il nous a raconté beaucoup de sa vie en France et nous lui avons raconté de notre vie an Autriche.
